Dust Crew™

[Dust514 Chronicles]

by Pablo Amadeus

It was on a scorching hot summer that the Dust Crew was first thought up and in a sense spawned from the heat driven madness of the Kahn weary of travels and mining. A single gunshot rang through “Barren Desert Valley.” Ogo’ohgu Kahn was draped from head to toe in cloth his synthetic armor hugging his ribs beneath all the clumsy garb. He wore black goggles to shield his pale white eyes even if he didn’t really feel the sun on them and grey turban around his head and face to shield his mouth and nose from the sand storm he had sought shelter from in the valley, even then the storm seemed to chase him. There was no reason to carry his gun though as he refused to accept his death,“ not by a mountain of dust and not by some scavenger.” He kept telling himself after long sighs, if he had survived the impact after the atmospheric entrance the downed enemy ships and their crew had survived as well as he still saw them fall from the sky and through the sand storm of the planet, he followed the wrecks fall and watch them crash land with a thud somewhere far far away. His crew  had not so lucky “Dust” his hands covered in sand lifted in the wind clenched into a fist till his palms turned colors. The pilot of his ship, “The Stalker” had been green from the start and turned yellow on atmospheric “burn.”

He drove the falling cruiser right into the mountainside shattering all that remained of the vessel to dust, except for Ogo.

“We had no chance…” the omen burned somewhere in his already shattered  mind.

To be continued…

I few matches ago on BFBC2 I mentioned during the longest rush round Dust514 and a few of the BF Vets that still do play the darn game chuckled for a bit and then said “Yea sure, I’ll fight ya for a GaZ GiAnt.” then the quite room erupted in stupid laughter.
I didnt say anything until the end of the battle and that was only to remind them my K/D ratio for the match was 3.90…

What I would like to know is if we really do belive that FPS experience will effect the way the community interacts. Those who have never touched an FPS will find themselves back against a wall or will they be able to fight back just as hardcore as any FPS vet?
